Riber Events is based in Matlock, Derbyshire, in the heart of the Peak District, and works across the wider region for weddings, private parties and corporate events. Our sound, lighting and production services regularly travel to venues in Bakewell, Buxton, Chesterfield, Belper, Ashbourne, Derby, Nottingham and Sheffield — as well as further afield for the right event.

Popular dates, particularly weekends between May and September, are often booked twelve months or more ahead. We'd always recommend enquiring as soon as your venue and date are confirmed.
Yes. We hold full Public Liability Insurance and can supply a copy of our certificate directly to your venue if required.
All equipment is PAT tested annually, with current documentation available on request — most venues ask for this as standard.
We travel with backup equipment for every event, and our systems are checked and tested before every setup. Redundancy is built into how we work, not treated as an afterthought.
Absolutely. Your planning call is where we build a shared picture of the music you love, along with anything you'd rather we avoid. We read the room from there.
Within reason, and always guided by what keeps your event feeling like yours — we'll agree the approach with you in advance.
This depends on the package and guest numbers, but we'll confirm exact space and power requirements with your venue ahead of time, so there are no surprises for anyone.
Yes — outdoor ceremony audio, ambient background music and evening entertainment can all be arranged, with weatherproofed equipment where needed.
We plan for weather as standard on any outdoor booking, including cover, positioning and contingency timings agreed with you and your venue in advance.
Regularly. Alongside Derbyshire and the Peak District, we cover Nottingham, Sheffield and the surrounding region, and are happy to discuss further afield for the right event.
A deposit secures your date, with the balance due ahead of the event. Full payment terms are confirmed clearly in your written quote — no hidden extras.

Yes, as a matter of course. We handle venue paperwork, technical liaison and licensing requirements so you don't have to.
Announcements and light MC duties can be included where helpful — always understated, and agreed with you in advance rather than improvised on the night.
Yes. Speaker hire, PA systems, wireless microphones and lighting can all be booked as standalone hire, with or without an operator, for events of any kind.
Every booking includes a planning call, and an in-person or video meeting can be arranged for larger events on request.
